Laravel 13 Is Just Around the Corner

Laravel 13 is approaching: the new major release is expected in the first quarter of 2026. Traditionally, Taylor Otwell uses the Laracon EU stage for the launch – putting March 3, 2026 in the spotlight as a potential release date.

What new features are planned?

The biggest new feature is the ability to define metadata directly via PHP attributes instead of using traditional class properties. This is optional (non-breaking) but will become the new standard for cleaner code. Additional smaller improvements have also been announced.
